
Hawk Walk
Hawk Walk is a safe-walk program where volunteers are sent out in teams of two to walk students from the Laurier community to a residential destination. Hawk Walk also operates a van service. The committee operates as an essential service focused on the safety, security and independence of undergraduate students. Hawk Walk also runs two events throughout the school year to further promote the service and engage with the Laurier community.

What You'll Do
Promote the service and any events that Hawk Walk executes for the Laurier community
Attend regular shifting hours that work around your class schedule during evening hours
Attend boothing events when scheduled
Submit shifting availability to the Executive in a timely manner

No experience required—just a commitment to making Laurier safer for everyone
Time Commitment
Coordinators: no more than 20 hours per week
Executives: 10 hours per week
General Members: 5 hours per week

The executive position has five roles with different responsibilities as outlined down below: -
Volunteer Liaison

The Volunteer Liaison is responsible for communication with general members and being their first point of
contact.

​The Marketing Executive is responsible for coordinating in-person marketing efforts and promotion of Hawk
Walk events.

​The Events Executive is responsible for organizing volunteers and ensuring Hawk Walk has spaces and
vendors booked for events.

​The Training Executive is responsible for ensuring all committee volunteers are trained and have the
appropriate resources needed for their roles.
