ABOUT US: The Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union is an independent not-for-profit organization formally affiliated with Wilfrid Laurier University. We are governed by a Board of Directors, 12 elected undergraduate students, and managed by an elected President and CEO who serves a 1-year term. The President’s Executive Leadership Team, both current students and recent graduates, serve in their roles alongside a continuing staff team managed by our Executive Director.


The Students’ Union exists to represent, advocate for, and support all Laurier undergraduate students. We work to ensure the student experience is affordable, accessible, safe, and that a high-quality academic experience is paired with opportunities for diverse and inclusive social interaction. ROLE SUMMARY: The Hospitality Services department oversees all hospitality operations of the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union on the Waterloo and Brantford campuses. Our operations consist of Wilf’s Restaurant & Bar and The Turret on the Waterloo campus, and The Belmont and Golden Grounds Coffee House on the Brantford campus. Along with the daily aspects of a restaurant and nightclub/bar operations, a variety of catering and special events are held within the establishments. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will be focused on the daily kitchen operations within Wilfs’ Restaurant. This role leads food preparation, ensures consistent quality, assists with staff management, and supports catering operations.

POSITION TITLE: Hospitality Sous Chef


POSITION LEVEL: Full-time, contract (9 months - August 2025-April 2026)

*contract extension is a possibility

WAGE RATE: Starting at $22 per hour


REPORTS TO: Wilf’s Kitchen Manager


EDUCATION: Ontario Secondary School Diploma, currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution


LOCATION: Wilf’s Restaurant & Bar, Waterloo Campus


CLOSING DATE: Wednesday July 23rd, 2025 at 11:59am
