Hawk Walk
No walk is too long or too short!
Purpose
Hawk Walk is dedicated to keeping students safe by providing a volunteer-led walk and ride service, promoting campus safety, and building a community where students look out for one another.
Why?
Hawk Walk exists because every student deserves to feel safe getting home. By providing a free, volunteer-led walk and ride service, Hawk Walk removes barriers to participating in campus life, promotes student well-being, and creates a community where students look out for one another.

Creating a Safer Campus, One Walk at a Time.
Hawk Walk is a volunteer-run safe-walk program under the Students’ Union. Volunteers are sent out in teams of two volunteers to walk students from the Laurier community. Whether you’re headed home from a day of studying on campus or going to grab a late-night snack, you can feel safe knowing that Hawk Walk has got your back.

Hawk Walk has a long history on Laurier's campuses and was known as Foot Patrol for over 30 years. In 2024, we rebranded to Hawk Walk to make the service more inclusive for students, aligning with the Students' Union's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. We thank Laurier's Centre for Student Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (CSEDI) for their crucial advice and input. We look forward to the continued success of this legacy service on campus.
