ABOUT US: The Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union is an independent not-for-profit organization formally affiliated with Wilfrid Laurier University. We are governed by a Board of Directors, 12 elected undergraduate students, and managed by an elected President and CEO who serves a 1-year term. The President’s Executive Leadership Team, both current students and recent graduates, serve in their roles alongside a continuing staff team managed by our Executive Director.

The Students’ Union exists to represent, advocate for, and support all Laurier undergraduate students. We work to ensure the student experience is affordable, accessible, safe, and that a high-quality academic experience is paired with opportunities for diverse and inclusive social interaction. It is our goal to be a student-drive organization that is accountable to our members, community focussed, and adaptable to change.

ROLE SUMMARY: Along with the daily aspects of a restaurant and bar operations, a variety of catering and special events are held within the establishments. Reporting to the Front of House Manager Waterloo, as Bartender you will maintain a high level of customer service by providing guests with information to aid in food and beverage selections and maintain dining ambiance by delivering accurate and timely service. In addition, you will assist in the execution of service in the Turret during special events.

In order to fulfill the aforementioned duties, you must be extremely well organized, detail oriented, have strong interpersonal skills and excellent time management skills.

POSITION TITLE: Bartender

POSITION LEVEL: Part-time, Seasonal Contract (8 months)

WAGE RATE: Starting at $17.20 per hour

REPORTS TO: Front of House Manager Waterloo

EDUCATION: Ontario Secondary School Diploma, currently enrolled in a post secondary institution

LOCATION: Wilf's Restaurant
