ABOUT US: The Students' Union represents all undergraduates students at Wilfrid Laurier University. We are a separate entity from the institution itself and therefore we operate independently from the University. We are a Not-For-Profit Organization which provides opportunities to students so they can take their university experience outside of the classroom. Our team is led by an undergraduate student President and Board of Directors who are elected annually by the undergraduate student body. We are passionate about the student experience, and always looking for ways to improve our members' post-secondary journey.
SUMMARY: The Hospitality Services department oversees all hospitality operations of the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union. Our operations consist of Wilf’s Restaurant & Bar and The Turret on the Waterloo campus, and Golden Grounds Coffee House and The Belmont on the Brantford campus. Along with the daily aspects of a restaurant and bar operations, a variety of catering and special events are held within the establishments. Reporting to the Hospitality Services General Manager, you will be focused on promoting the frontline services within Wilf’s, as well as managing bar inventory. To be successful in this role you will need to have strong leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communication, time management and organizational skills, as well as be adept at problem-solving from a lens of diversity and equitability.

POSITION LEVEL: Full-time, contract (12-months, May 2024 to May 2025)
LOCATION: Waterloo based
SALARY RANGE: $45,000 per annum, commensurate to experience and skillset
REPORTS TO: Hospitality Services General Manager
EDUCATION: 2+ years of full-service dining experience, or equivalent education
TECHNICAL: Experience with Point-of-Sale and bar inventory systems an asset
CERTIFICATION: Advanced Food Safety, Smart Serve, and First Aid and CPR
