Student Senator - Open Seat

There is currently one undergraduate vacancy on Senate for a term ending June 30, 2024.

Serving on Laurier’s Senate provides unique learning and leadership opportunities. Through your participation you will have an impact on strategic decision-making at the University. Students on Senate are full members, and are required to attend meetings, come prepared, participate, and respect confidentiality. If elected, you will be expected to provide a student perspective while making decisions in the best interest of the University. The Wilfrid Laurier University Act lays out the powers of the Senate.

Eligibility: Any Laurier student is eligible to run for Senate; however, they cannot be a member of a student body, staff, or governing body of any other degree-granting institution throughout the duration of their term. Candidates must be registered students at Laurier at the start of their term.

Nomination packages can be submitted to sucro@wlu.ca
